  • How Can I Book?
Please fill out our booking form here: Reserve Your Spot Now Once we receive your completed booking form, we will reach out to collect your payment. This process ensures minimal fees for both the hub and families. We want to ensure monies are directed to where they are needed rather than on fees. Once we have received your 40% deposit, we will add you to a chat group with all other participants in your hub session and keep you updated with information as time goes on. Final invoices are sent out 45 days before the hub with the balance due 15 days before hub. Please feel free to reach out to Aliyah Santos. We will be happy to schedule a one-on-one call with you and your family to answer any questions you might have.
  • What is the Cost?
Our hub costs 600 Euros/6000 MAD for one child. We offer a 10% sibling discount, meaning that the cost for each sibling is 540 Euros/5400 MAD.
  • Can I Book Online?
We kindly ask families to reserve their spot by completing our booking form first. Once we receive your booking request, we’ll get in touch to arrange the deposit payment using the platform that offers you the best rate for your currency. We do this to minimize extra fees and keep more of our funds supporting the children, our hub, and local charities, rather than paying unnecessary charges to banks and payment processors.
  • Refunds and Cancellations
Our aim is to provide a fair refund policy that respects both your financial investment in our program and ours. Mirleft Cultural Cove requires a 40% deposit to hold your child/ren's space in the program. This deposit will be fully refundable up to 45 days before the first day of the hub you sign up for. If you cancel within the 45 days before your hub starts, 40% of the deposit will be held to cover administrative and material costs that we have already paid out. Once the hub starts, we will offer partial refunds in the following exceptional circumstances and with documentation. Serious illness or injury Death in the immediate family Unforeseen travel restrictions Your child is unable to manage themselves at hub These refunds will be offered based on how many days your child attended, minus any already incurred expenses, including materials which were procured under the assumption your child would be participating in the full hub. We have invested considerable time and energy in creating and implementing this worldschool hub. We kindly ask families to respect our efforts by understanding that our refund policy is designed to be ethical yet fair. We expect that refunds will only be requested under genuinely exceptional circumstances. This approach ensures we can continue providing a high-quality experience for all participants.
  • How Does Accomodation Work?
We assist in finding the perfect house for your family. There are many affordable and wonderful apartments in the area. All of the apartments that we locate for your family will be vetted for reliable internet and location. We are focused on the Aftas area of Mirleft. Most of our activities will be located in this area. Once you book your session, we will show you various housing options based on your preferences and budget. We will then mark you down for that specific accomodation. Some of our landlords may request a deposit in advance of your arrival, which we will collect from you, pay, and get a receipt in your name. Upon arrival, you will pay the remaining accomodation cost directly to the landlord in cash. We won’t tell you not to book accommodations outside of our hub such as on Airbnb or Booking, however these options might be much more expensive. If you want to book online, please make sure to ask the host if they have Maroc Telecom fiber optic, or you may not have reliable internet.
  • Can My Child Use Devices at Hub?
Our hub aims to focus on outdoor and screen-free learning time. However, for older kids, we will also encourage them to engage in outside self-led or leadership learning which might require internet research about a certain subject. We also have volunteer opportunities with a local association which might require research in order to help them. Therefore, while we won’t necessarily use tech daily, it will be useful for the children to be able to bring their device with them (if allowed in normal life). We understand that parents/children may want to have a phone for contact during the day. We ask that children with phones minimize their usage to prevent disruptions.
  • Can I Attend the Hub with My Child?
We recognize that some children may need some help becoming comfortable being away from parents or caretakers for a long period of time. Parents are welcome to help their child settle in during the first few days of the hub. Throughout the hub, we will also invite parents to join or observe certain activities. However, our hubs are designed primarily for the children. We have worked very hard to create amazing opportunities for them to bond with one another, form relationships within the local community, and engage in self-led play and learning. We aim to foster independence and resiliency in a safe environment. For these reasons, we kindly request that you allow your child to come to hub independently. Parents are invited to join certain activities, although our main focus is on building peer relationships and self-led learning. On Fridays, we have a shortened day with a cooking class and community meal.
  • Can I Volunteer in Exchange for Participation?
We are not able to accept parent volunteers in exchange for their child's participation. Our goal is to hire local people and ensure we are following local labor laws.
  • Is This a School?
We will attempt to include all children as much as possible. Our hub includes self-led learning within the context of available activities. We also aim to provide freedom for the older children to explore the local area while accounting for their comfort and maturity levels. In regards to the schedule, we will encourage kids to spend more time on activities that interest them which is why the schedule is flexible. We are not a school and we do not stick to a strict schedule. We allow for freedom and exploration on the children's time while also sticking to a basic framework for activities.
  • Is Morocco Safe for Families?
My family (Aliyah) spent 4 years in Mirleft, Agadir, and Taghazout. We never felt unsafe and in actuality, we felt the most bonded to a community while we lived in Mirleft. We've now run four hub sessions in Mirleft, and the community has been very welcoming to our participants.
  • What Can I Wear?
Mirleft is a rural, coastal town. However, they are quite used to tourists. You and your family can wear everyday clothing that you would wear at home. We would discourage overly revealing clothing. You should plan to bring at least one pair of pants for men, and one pair of pants for ladies in preparation for our mosque visit. These could also be purchased at Monday souk.

  • What is Mirleft Hub like?
Mirleft is a rural, desert environment sandwiched between the ocean and the mountains. It is a town in development and as such, you will find gravel roads, dirt, and construction. Our activities are held both indoors and outdoors and we frequently go on outings to local crafts or service people. We are also not a school. While we have a list of activities that we will be putting on for the kids, we like to have some flexibility if there are factors such as weather or workshop host availability that we need to consider. We will also encourage our older kids to take charge of their own learning and propose events or activities which catch their interest. Our days will be loosely structured with a morning activity and snacks provided in the morning, followed by lunch, and finally, our afternoon activity. There may be more than one activity during those periods, but at minimum, we will have two activities/workshops per day. On Fridays, we will have one activity for the whole family.

In regards to the schedule, we will encourage kids to spend more time on activities that interest them which is why the schedule is flexible. We do accept neurodivergent children, however at this time, we are not equipped to safely support children with needs that include a tendency toward self-harm, aggression toward others, or property destruction. Our setting is designed for low-ratio, group-based experiences, and we want to ensure a safe and positive environment for all participants.
